With the Christmas season quickly approaching, money is always going to be a little tight, especially if you have a lot of gifts to purchase. I expect a lot of our readers have been thinking about breaking out their credit cards and adding a few thousand dollars to their already accumulating debt, but why? You are no doubt already paying around 16% APR on the balance on your card, unless you have been clever and switched your balance to another card issuer. You really do not need to be doing this. A lot of card issuers, particular during the run up to Christmas offer great deals on credit cards with 0% interest in purchases for 10 - 12 months. That means you can purchase whatever you need to, interest free and not have to worry about it until next Christmas.

The key to this is to find a credit card issuer that offers 0% on purchases for the longest period. You can compare credit cards online from hundreds of providers at once and find the best deal for you.

When using a credit card comparison site, try and find an impartial / independent website as opposed to an existing card issuer displaying their stats and features against a competitor. There are often a lot of hidden clauses that should be looked out for.
